CR Williams is my guest on this episode. He’s recently written a book about gunfighting. We discussed some excellent topics such as the emotional orientation to a gunfight, actual techniques such as the draw stroke, use of the long gun in self defense, why having a John Wayne attitude isn’t all bad, what they’re not telling you about point shooting, fighting inside of your house, long range shooting with a handgun, dry fire practice and whether or not you can buy accuracy! In other words, is accuracy king?

Ben Branam joins me again for our once a month discussion about concealed carry and gun related stuff. We discussed buying handguns, shotguns (again) , Glock triggers, an experience he had as an armored car guard, 1911’s, and an upcoming carbine match. Also, Jerry from St. Louis submitted an audio clip review of one of my podcasts. Thanks for downloading and listening. I received 2 excellent pieces of audio from a couple of listeners. One is a pistol packing preacher and the other likes his Glock 32 and he’s a fellow Texan. I also covered some emails I’ve received and discuss some more information about defensive shotguns. Next week, get ready for a cool interview with Dr. John Meade, Tactical Medicine Instructor and author. Until then, I know you’ll enjoy this episode and many thanks to all who contributed this material. Bob Mayne, HandgunWorld Show

I treat my gun collection as if it’s a bunch of survival tools. I believe in being prepared. Not only with firearms but in all areas of my life. So recently I interviewed Mr. Chip Monk, host of the Chip Monk Survival Podcast. He shared some excellent ideas on what type of guns to buy or collect from a preparedess perspective. We discussed .22lr, double barrel shotguns, the Taurus Judge, SKS’s and a lot more. Please remember to join the GRRN forum and help the Gun Rights cause. Now it’s time for some fun, humor and the 12 Guns of Christmas. I do have some serious things to say also, but because it’s Christmas and the end of the year, I figured it was time for some light hearted gun stuff. Please remember to check out the links to all of the audio clips you hear on this show. Please remember to carry during the Holidays. It seems like the bad guys are out in full force during this time of the year. Don’t be a statistic and utilize your rights under the 2nd Amendment. You will also hear a recording from someone who does a great job of explaining why we should conceal carry our gun. Most of all have fun, stay out of trouble and let’s talk Christmas Guns!
Please join the Gun Rights Radio Network and participate in the forum there, you’ll find me too. A mixed bag of gun talk is all I could think of to title this podcast. While driving I share some thoughts I have about pistol caliber carbines, sights, belts, holsters, ammo, 20 gauge shotguns, survival guns and more. This is a relatively short show, I’ve been pretty busy this week. Don’t forget to listen to the pistol caliber carbine podcast I did on my survival show. That was in favor of pistol caliber carbines, this show is a reason not to own one. You decide. I do talk about the great many benefits of the Marlin 1894c .357 magnum, buffalo bore ammo, Marlin Camp carbines and more. Don’t forget it’s down to the wire for the Freedom Raffle. It’s too late for you to mail the money but you can still use a debit or credit card. Drawing is this Friday Sept. 17th. Shotguns are one of the most versatile weapons you can own. In my opinion, every family should have one. Even if you live in an area where handguns are not allowed, shotguns probably are. They are one of the most formidable man stoppers inside of 25 yards that are commonly available and affordable. In this episode I discuss the advantages and disadvantages of shotguns, their usefulness and what to watch out for when adding accessories, etc.
Highights:

LET ME ADD: The very idea of being able to chamber a round and the “chunk chunk” sound of the pump shotgun being enough to make the bad guy pee his pants and run away…is preposterous! That’s a myth that simply isn’t true. If the bad guy is stung out on drugs, a noise certainly isn’t going to stop him. So consider that fact that you will likely have to shoot your shotgun, no matter what action type it is.

All handguns suck relative to long guns’ stopping power. In this show I discuss issues like why rifles and shotguns will stop attackers far more effectively. Even though this is the HandgunWorld Podcast, I do talk about long guns from time to time. Also discussed, what types of ammunition to use and are long guns less maneuverable in your home? OK, now the big question, shotgun or rifle?
You’ll have to listen to get the answer. Also…Happy Thanksgiving!

A show about why how and when you many need a rifle or shotgun for self defense.
I also cover several questions to ask yourself if you’re considering purchasing a rifle or shotgun or if you’re re-evaluating what you own already. I also touch on some issues below:
