“Shoot him to the ground” is probably what most civilians will be concerned about when defending themselves with a handgun.  Tune in for information from Matthew Temkin on vertical indexing and an actual 911 call.  I also expand and add to the subject from the Personal Armament Podcast regarding defensive accuracy. I’ll put in my 2 cents.

Highlights:

  • News from Utah regarding gun rights.
  • Listener feedback.
  • Shoot Him to The Ground Defensive accuracy skills.
  • How to stop your aggressor quickly.
  • Freedom Raffle.
  • Inherent Accuracy, Combat Accuracy, Defensive Accuracy.
  • We haven’t won the gun rights battle yet.
  • Acceptable penetration for defensive ammo.
  • Carrying your gun when working for a non gun friendly employer.

P.S.  Don’t forget to join me at the Gun Rights Radio Forum and also at Today’s Survival Show.

Great podcast Bob. That 911 call needs to be played at the next Chicago City counsel meeting! Maybe I missed it, but is that 911 call posted on the web? I would like to send it to everyone on my email list, and tell them to do the same.

I am a retired LEO, and it is so true, that although the Police will be on the way, they are usually too late in that situation. I believe I read somewhere that the national average of Police 911 response is seven to ten minutes. The old saying is true, when you life is in danger, and seconds count, the Police are only minutes away. I am glad that lady did what she had to do. I heard on the tape she had just bought that gun that day, or the day before. What if she had lived in a State with waiting periods, or filling out forms for weeks, like Chicago and DC are doing? God bless her. I am glad she’s alive. Maybe if you can find her, you can interview her on your podcast? I know it would be painful for her, but her story needs to be told. Thanks.

It’s on YouTube, click here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ExC7fE1LaY

Send it to your friends and also tell them about my show! http://www.handgunworld.com

The Lady’s name is anonymous, so I wouldn’t know who to call. Not sure if she would want it published anyway, but the gun was given to her by a friend of hers the day before this happened! You’re right…that shoots the argument for waiting periods…pun intended. Thanks for listening!
