This is part 2 of the audio from Mark Vanderburg’s hotel room after the Gun Rights Policy Conference in the anti gun city of Chicago, a few weeks ago. Eric Shelton (former host of The Handgun Podcast) Gail Pepin of the Pro Arms Podcast, Mark Vanderberg, host of the Gun Rights Radio Network, Larry Peikarski and Matt and Shane (2 loyal GRRN listeners) and ME, entertain you with a recap of the Gun Rights Policay conference, in our own words. Tune in for a lot of fun and some thoughtful discussion on the gun rights issue and….what about the Litigation Gorilla? (at the end of the show.) Tell me what you think. Is Alan Gura the litigation gorilla? I think he is, you be the judge. Next week, I guarantee I will cover lots of listener emails and questions. Thanks for downloading and listening, Bob Mayne, HandunWorld Show.

Audio from the Gun Rights Policy Conference held in Chicago Sept. 24th and 25th. I interviewed a few listeners and bloggers that share some valuable insights. You’ll also hear speeches from the KnifeRights.org group including Doug Ritter and Tom Gresham. I also include some audio from a group podcast that was held with quite a few GRRN podcasters including Eric Shelton from Handgun Podcast, Gail Pepin from The Pro Arms Podcast, Larry Piekarski from the Gun Rights News Podcast, Mark Vanderberg head of the Gun Rights Radio Network and Bar Stool Discussion, and Me. We also had a couple of faithful listeners that contributed to the group discussion. WARNING! The group podcast was recorded while we were having “fun” and letting it loose after the conference activities on Saturday! Since this is the 2nd podcast of this week, I will NOT be posting a show next week. So the next show will be Monday, Oct. 10th, 2011. I’m going to take a little time off. Please keep the comments coming in emails and audio format. I will get caught up on the next show. Please join the GRRN forum and the 2nd Amendment Foundation! Links can be found on the GRRN forum. This week is a mixed bag again, because I didn’t really have only one single topic, so I combined a few topics into one show. You’ll hear a rebuttal from un-named trucker regarding my review of the Glock 26 a few weeks ago. Then Al Vennemeyer from Stealth Defense Holsters joins me again for a follow up from a few weeks ago. I also discuss the oppressive Maryland gun laws and why they really don’t allow concealed carry. Generation 4 Glocks are also a topic of this show. Also many thanks to Jason at Concealment Solutions for adding an extra giveaway to my fundraiser. Links can be found on the GRRN forum. The Gun Control subject is a touchy one. So many opinions. But one fact is clear, the 2nd amendment is an individual right and that has now been upheld by the SCOTUS. But in this episode I have a little fun with the gun control discussion. So there’s a little humor in this show and also some serious discussion. I found some good audio soundbites of some well known people and some anonymous people on the subject of Gun Control. Some news interviews too. I think you’ll enjoy them. Modifying your handgun is something almost every handgun owner decides to do. Many experts in the field of self defense and the legalities of doing so, recommend not modifying your carry gun. Especially the trigger. Sights are the most common modification. Whether you have a 1911 or a polymer wonder, or a SIG, Beretta, Taurus or whatever, it seems as though there’s so much talk and decision making that goes into the modification of one’s handgun. Even revolver shooters tend to favor trigger jobs. In this episode I start with responding to a few listener emails, then get into an interview with Steve Zopfi about trigger modifications. We don’t talk much about competition shooting, mostly we discussed modifying carry guns. He discusses his STI and his Glock. So thanks for downloading and listening and links can be found at the Gun Rights Radio Network Forum. Bob Mayne, HandgunWorld Show

So much good feedback and questions have been sent to me in the past few weeks. I really appreciate it, so in this episode I get caught up on quite a bit of my backlog of emails. This show includes information about High Noon Holsters, the Kel Tec PLR-16, Texas Gun Talk forums, stopping power, Center Axis Relock, testing handguns and more. Most of this show is contributed by people on the Gun Rights Radio Network Forum and emails sent to me recently. I consider this a show produced by the listeners. I’m just the host and the guy that puts it together. Thanks for listening and safe shooting! Bob Mayne – HandgunWorld Show

This is a sequel to the Women and Guns podcast I did last year. But I felt compelled to put out more information on this subject because I feel strongly about women carry a gun for self protection. So, I interviewed a woman who is a firearms trainer, excellent shooter and big advocate for a woman’s right to defend herself with a firearm. Guy, pay attention to this episode if you have a woman in your life that is interested in concealed carry and shooting. If she’s thinking about what type of firearm to buy, this will be a good episode for her to listen to. Andrea Clark’s website is called F.A.S.T. Defense (Firearms, Awareness and Safety training.) I also answer some listener questions in this episode. Please remember to join the GRRN forum if you haven’t already. Also, version 2 of my “Shooter’s Club” Exclusive Podcast will be releasing on March 15th. Check the website at HandgunWorld.com for details and subject matter. Thanks for downloading andlistening and safe shooting.

More discussion on rental guns. After going to the range with James Kimmerle, I did an interview with him. We discussed our thoughts about a Glock .357Sig, FN 9mm and Beretta PX4 sub compact 9mm. At the beginning of the show I cover some information on a recent back up gun match I shot with my P380. We also discussed James’ new High Noon Public Secret left handed holster for his PX4. We also spent some time discussing the Tucson shooting and why the anti gunners and media have it all wrong. I also make an announcement about a new fund raising effort for the 2nd Amendment foundation. This episode is about single handed shooting and perfecting your shooting techniques. I also got around to answering a backlog of listener questions and feedback on Taurus guns, the importance of training and a lot more. This show was recorded long before the tragic shooting in Arizona. Next week I will have some comments about that and dedicate part of the show to that subject. Please join the forum at the Gun Rights Radio Network if you haven’t and don’t forget to comment on what you carry in your vehicle. I also recently put up a new video on my YouTube Channel. At the end of this month I will cut off sales of version one of my CD/Digital Download and begin recording version 2 which will be released near the end of February 2011. Thanks for listening, Bob Mayne.

On December 14, 2010 a tragic shooting took place during a Florida School Board meeting. Jon Hodoway and I discuss the events that took place and what it means to all of us who conceal or open carry on a daily basis. Jon did his homework on this event, reading transcripts and analyzing videos. I think you’ll find his conclusions and opinions quite compelling. Here are a few questions I would like to pose to you as you listen to this. First, this happened in a gun free zone, so have you ever wondered how dangerous gun free zones really are? Secondly, why do people not believe that something like this can never happen to them? Third, are you prepared? Please take this information to heart and really think about what’ being said in this show and thanks for downloading and enjoy the interview. By the way, if you want to support my show consider investing in the digital download or CD I’ve just released. It’s packed with good shooting skills information, interviews and audio clips, exclusive only to those who help support my show.

Now it’s time for some fun, humor and the 12 Guns of Christmas. I do have some serious things to say also, but because it’s Christmas and the end of the year, I figured it was time for some light hearted gun stuff. Please remember to check out the links to all of the audio clips you hear on this show. Please remember to carry during the Holidays. It seems like the bad guys are out in full force during this time of the year. Don’t be a statistic and utilize your rights under the 2nd Amendment. You will also hear a recording from someone who does a great job of explaining why we should conceal carry our gun. Most of all have fun, stay out of trouble and let’s talk Christmas Guns!

Please join the Gun Rights Radio Network and participate in the forum there, you’ll find me too. If you would like to support my show and keep it running, consider an investment in my Shooters Club CD or digital download. Who would have thought that Yogurt and Handguns would exist in the same news story? Well, they did, I’ll cover that in the show. I also discuss the possibility of concealed carry in Wisconsin and how the opposition to CCW in that state is putting out false and inaccurate information. It’s the same bogus argument most anti gun people use. I also do an assessment of the mid term election results and what they mean for our gun rights. You’ll also hear about some criticism of my show and my answer to it. This is a shorter show than usual and I normally don’t put these out on weekends, but I wanted to get this one out there as soon as possible.

Listener feedback and comments are the topics this week. I’ve received a lot of emails and first let me say thank you! In this show I talk about a mixed bag of gun talk again, why I have 3 CCW licenses, Springfield XDM’s, Revolvers and some corrections to my revolver episode, open carry in Wisconsin, ammo recoil, self training with a handgun, gun free zones, IDPA and more. I’ll even discuss a listener’s email as to why he carries, it’s a good story, you’ll want to hear it. They are all in response to you, the loyal listener. Please remember to join me at the Gun Rights Radio Network Forum. I also cover some constructive criticism and compliments. I appreciate the feedback because it helps me improve the show. Are guns good investments? This question seems to be kicked around the internet a lot and it’s surprising what I see. Sometimes they are and sometimes they are not. So in this episode I’ll give you both sides as I see it and let you decide. Some of the highlights include old guns, collectibles, limited edition guns, becoming a dealer and the regulatory side of gun re selling.

Also tune in to hear my experience on Wednesday when I attended a luncheon sponsored by the OK2A and GOA. It was disappointing, tune in and I’ll tell you the story.  Don’t forget about the Freedom Raffle.
