More discussion on rental guns. After going to the range with James Kimmerle, I did an interview with him. We discussed our thoughts about a Glock .357Sig, FN 9mm and Beretta PX4 sub compact 9mm. At the beginning of the show I cover some information on a recent back up gun match I shot with my P380. We also discussed James’ new High Noon Public Secret left handed holster for his PX4. We also spent some time discussing the Tucson shooting and why the anti gunners and media have it all wrong. Before and after analysis of the Real World Gun Match that’s more defensive oriented than most competition matches in my opinion. I realize it’s still a game, but I shot my carry gun and used my carry gear/holster, etc. This is a relatively short show but I think you’ll enjoy the analysis and shooting results. I also got a chance to shoot a Wilson Combat CQB 1911, so tune in for a quick review on that gun. This Friday I’ll post my recent interview with Jon Hodoway. Your draw from the holster is one of the most important skills to know to deploy your handgun for self defense. So is performing a reload. In this episode I get taught a new way of performing a reload. We also break down the 5 step reload into on of the best explanations I’ve ever heard in the audio version. I cover a little listener feedback in segment one. But have you ever stopped to concentrate on your draw stroke? Do yo practice it? Thousands of repetitions? When you reload do you look your magazine into the magwell or keep focused on the threat? What do you do with your gun to regain sight picture after a reload. The porpoise technique? Can you carry a big gun? Why not? If so, why do you carry a large gun? Questions often asked, so I give you my answers. First I start with a review of the .357SIG, after I went to the range and shot a Glock 33. The Pro Arms Podcast recent review of the .357SIG got me interested in what all the fuss was about. A mixed bag of gun talk is all I could think of to title this podcast. While driving I share some thoughts I have about pistol caliber carbines, sights, belts, holsters, ammo, 20 gauge shotguns, survival guns and more.
