Will competition shooting get you killed? That question has caused a lot of arguments in the gun community. Combat veteran Ben Branam joins me to share his combat experiences and to help answer the question of if and when competition shooting helps  you in a gunfight. We also discussed the tragic shooting in Aurora, Colorado and the success of Samuel Williams using his pistol to repel 2 guys who tried to rob an internet cafe in Florida. Thanks for listening.  Links can be found on the GRRN forum. Bob Mayne.

Hey Bob & Ben, Nice to hear some common sense discussion for once about these shootings. What the heck is wrong with the people that argue against shooting back at the bad guy? I think we have a epidemic of learned helplessness in our country right now. Sheep want to ban guns because they are to pacifist to use one for protection and think no one should and the liberal government wants to ban guns to tighten it’s grip on the population. It’s funny how they think the government actually shares their values. Pro gun control politicians still have armed bodygaurds after all. I think everybody knows laws don’t stop murderers, it’s all just political subversion. Thank God for the NRA.
