Short barrel or long barrel?  It’s the questions a lot of people ask and wonder whether it affects accuracy.  There are 2 sides to that argument and I will present both sides and give you some of my personal experience.  I’ve actually found that I can control a short barrel handgun very well and it’s faster out of the holster, which is very important.   By the way, I’ll post the pictures of my targets on Thursday.  I’m having camera problems, I will fix them in a couple days, then post the target pictures I promise in this show.

Highlights:

  • NEWS Report about a College grad student protecting his home from burglars with his shotgun.
  • How barrel length effects velocity
  • How barrel length and sight radius effect accuracy
  • Barrel length and drawing from a holster
  • James Yeager shooting Glock 19 at 100 yards

    Hi Bob,

I am new to the world of handguns, but I have been a big enthusiast of quality talk radio for decades and really appreciate the craft. My new interest has caused me to search out all the information I can find and have listened to all the related podcasts available. You have a significant talent for radio and your show is much more professional than any other podcast in it the genre. By FAR!! If you listen to others, you will see what I mean. Your show has no downtime…keeps moving…and above all is always interesting.
I look forward to your next show!!
    Dave
