Since ammunition is so hard to find and so expensive, I decided to record some thoughts about ammo buying. Did you know about the proposed “ammunition background check Act of 2013?” I also include some information about what handguns to consider purchasing. The ammo crisis is a real one. There’s no telling when ammo prices and supplies will get back to normal, if ever. I think it’s safe to say the firearms climate has changed. Even if sweeping gun control does not pass, the simple threat of it seems to send the markets into frenzy. This week, Jon Hodoway joins me to discuss unique ways to get ammo and whether it makes sense to standardize your calibers or not. He also has some advice for new gun purchasers.

Those of us who are freedom loving people, who understand the protection of our rights under the 2nd Amendment are probably very frustrated by the nonsense being proposed today. So in consideration of that, I asked Glen Tate to interview with me again to discuss how he thinks all of this gun control will affect us. We discuss gun registration, databases, universal background checks and other topics and why it’s about CONTROL, not guns. The government wants to control us, plain and simple. It’s not really the guns they care about controlling. Glen also talks about a personal story regarding a friend of his, who has made in interesting transformation!

John Neuser works in an ER at a level 1 trauma center and he’s also a certified wilderness first responder. Quite frequently he sees people come into his ER with gunshot wounds. So I asked him to interview with me and discuss the effect that different bullets, calibers and bullet weights can have in a self defense situation. We also briefly discussed our favorite types of ammo and over penetration. You’ll enjoy this practical and useful interview. This episode also begins with a voice mail from a listener regarding fighting back against gun control and a couple of emails from listeners. One listener shared an excellent personal defense story!
